Bio

I am a Brooklyn born, Guyanese bred award-winning filmmaker, proud owner & founder of Bent Street Films LLC.

My career spans over two decades working primarily in the Caribbean and the USA. Over this time, I've worked my way up from a part-time camera operator to a skilled independent Cinematographer/Director.

As an independent filmmaker and production company owner, I am on a journey to preserve and develop Caribbean culture and the visual arts. I use film and new media to bring Caribbean stories to US mainstream distribution. In addition to my film career, I continue to partner with individuals and organizations to enhance the development of the creative industry in the Caribbean and provide opportunities for minority creatives within the USA.

My film interests center mostly on social issues within minority communities. My film style combines a flare of neorealism and visual storytelling with a minimalist approach.

My portfolio includes projects with the PRADA Foundation, the World Bank, USAID, the Global Shapers Community – an affiliate of the World Economic Forum, to name a few.

I am currently working on building out my production company to seamlessly operate in both US and Caribbean territories and in the planning stages of my first independent feature film project.
